I am a native of Branchville SC. I received a bachelor’s of Social Work; a Master’s in Rehabilitation Counseling; a Master’s of Counseling Education from South Carolina State University; and a Master’s in School Administration and Supervision from the University of Phoenix. I have twenty-four years of experiences in counseling and education. I have been employed in Colleton, Dorchester 4, and Orangeburg 4 school districts before coming to Calhoun County Public School District. I had the honor of being the principal of Calhoun County High School for nine years before moving into the role of Chief of Accountability & Administration.
I have served on the Add-On Certificate and Endorsement Taskforce for “Teaching Children of Poverty”, the Governor’s Educator’s Panel, School To Work Advisory Board, the District Curriculum Team, and AdvancEd Review Team. I currently sit on the Executive Board for South Carolina Alliance of Black School Educators as the corresponding secretary. I believe that every child is unique and giving the necessary tools, support, and guidance he/she can reach their maxim potential as a productive citizen.
I firmly believe “Intelligence plus character – that is the true goal of education.” by Martin Luther King Jr.
